About me...
Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve written about me! I hope I’m still good at it. HERE GOES!
I’m Eric Bishop and I’ve been here at KTOM on and off since 1998. For those of you playing at home, I was 18 when I got hired here. (Do the math) I’ve done almost everything at KTOM here in my 9 years, from just pushing buttons, to being in charge of producing commercials, working overnights, filling in for the morning show, being live out on location, and introducing some of your favorite country artists on stage. It’s been a blast and I love doing it everyday! Id say its in my blood to entertain.
A little about where I came from: I’m not a native of the central coast. I’m originally from
San Jose,
CA where I lived for many years until moving out here to Salinas/Monterey. I’ve been here ever since and my family lives around here locally as well (Which is nice). I went to high school here locally so I guess to a sense, I did grow up here. I do consider this area to be my home. To anyone who lives here, you know what I mean when I say that there’s just something special about living in this area.
Although I do radio on the weekend, I still work during the day (go figure). I’m a master computer repair tech by trade and am usually fixing broken stuff all day long and setting up computers for people. It’s just something I’m good at and I love doing that every day too!
Chances are you know me or you’ve heard of me. I've been on the air at KTOm on and off for about 10 years now so if you havent heard me before, you must have just moved here :) Oh, and thanks for listening by the way! You can catch me on Saturday afternoons from 3pm to 7pm!
